What is the best WMS solution for your company?
We hear this a lot here and there: I want to choose a WMS solution and I'm wondering which solution is the best? I decided sometimes to discuss such questions so that SupplyChainer's readers can get an overview of market situation and practical issues

Regarding selection of WMS solutions I think, apart from the statement that it depends on the product and the industry, following quick tips might be useful (I tried to be neutral in making judgements):

1) HighJump Software, Manhattan Associates' PKMS, Redpraire and Catalyst WMS are some of the best options available in the market, specially HighJump's solution is relatively quicker to implement.

2) If have already implemented SAP or Oracle, then the answer is SAP or Oracle! Today major ERP vendors like Oracle and SAP are providing robust WMS with most of the features the above products are providing. Implementing WMS from the same solution provider, even though might reduce flexibility, is also easier.

3) As a final note in comparing SAP with the other solutions, I would say SAP's EWM product has not been fully proven in complex operational scenarios. Red prairie and Manhattan Associates are highly rated by Gartner and have 100s of installations across large and complex customer requirements.

I appreciate your feedbacks about this post. Do you like me to cover such areas or not?
