Historically, supply chain Visibility has been used to simply deliver track and trace. As businesses look beyond their own four walls towards extended Supply Chains the role of Supply Chain Visibility is changing.

Viewlocity, global supply chain provider, has organized a seminar the above challenges. This presentation will look at how Visibility is being used to deliver extended Supply Chain process control, and how that is being used to transform Supply Chains. Chris Buckthorp is currently the Global Vice President of Product Strategy, Marketing and Product Management for the Viewlocity Business within Supply Chain Consulting.

Until late last year, when Viewlocity was acquired by Supply Chain Consulting, he was the Head of Supply Chain AsiaPac and Director of S. E. Asia for the global Supply Chain visibility solutions vendor Viewlocity.

With a solid background in operations and Supply Chain consulting with PwC/IBM BCS he is always challenging how Supply Chain theory can be applied in real situations.

For the past few years Chris has been developing new concepts underlying Supply Chain Visibility and how this technology can be used to transform Supply Chains. Viewlocity will also be exhibiting on stand D12 during the 2007 SSCT Show.

According to Ferret, the Smart Supply Chain Technology Show will be held on the 20th and 21st of June 2007 as part of Supply Chain Week and alongside the Smart Conference.
