In this last article about Transport Tracking 2005, I'm going to write a little bit about the 2nd day sessions and also summarize the whole event.

As I wrote in the first part, the sessions were divided into two groups: Application Track and Strategy Track.

The second day application track was more focused on the security related issues of telematics like, How to insure your onboard system rises to the transportation security challenge, or Introducing intelligent transport service network and their usage in security issues.

The Strategy Track was more supply chain related and focused on Portable applications for Tracking and Tracing.

I attended in the strategy track sessions and at the end I can say, I gained an improved point of view toward the current industry situation (The market is growing at a favorable pace), comparing integrated vs. standalone portable solutions and suitable sales strategies for Telematics Solution Providers.

As a whole, I can say that Transport Tracking 2005 reached its targets. Many Telematics Related managers from across the Europe came together and discussed the major issues within the industry today and the challenges ahead (Like lack of a common product architecture which prevents the industry from heavy innovations), and it was also a great Opportunity for TSPs to promote their solutions.
At the end, I want to say a special thank you to Thomas Hallauer, Event Director for giving me the opportunity to cover the event.
