Tompkins Associates Appoints New COO

Tompkins Associates, the supply chain solutions and integration firm, has named Mark Buffum as its new Chief Operating Officer. Buffum will play a key role in continuing Tompkins' expansion to meet the demands of the global supply chain marketplace.
"Tompkins is at the forefront of the global supply chain revolution, and I am proud to be working with such a dedicated, innovative team," Buffum says. In this new position, he will concentrate on maximizing client satisfaction while championing Tompkins' global supply chain model.
According to a release from Business Wire, as the Senior Partner of Tompkins' Technology Dimension since 2000, Buffum is an expert in best practices and has more than 15 years of experience in distribution and logistics solutions, system development and integration, and material handling systems implementation. Prior to joining Tompkins, Buffum was a Manager for IBM Federal Systems Integration and a Director for lockheed martin Distribution Technologies.
Jim Tompkins, President and CEO, notes that Buffum strongly shares the organization's vision and action plan.
