Swiss Logistics Provider Adopts Infor Solutions

M+R Spedag, an independent logistics provider has signed a contract with Infor to implement its Supply Chain Management (SCM) Warehouse Management (WM) to assist in the expansion of its supply chain and logistics services across Asia.

According to SDA Asia, M+R Spedag chose WM because the solution allows them to provide better supply chain and fulfillment services to their customers. The solution's ability to scale as their business continues to grow was also an important factor in the selection. WM has a modern, standards-based architecture that will allow M+R Spedag to adjust and change processes depending on customers needs. It provides real time information about inventory and stock levels 24/7 throughout their supply chain, both inside and outside of the four walls of the warehouse, through embedded performance management dashboard, analytics and reporting capabilities.

"...As a result, we are able to increase customer satisfaction as well as improve our internal processes through lead time reduction, productivity improvements and cost-efficiencies," said Mr. Holger Schaurig, general manager Logistics & SCM Asia, M+R Spedag.

To mark the official announcement, Infor's Chief Operating Officer, Robin Pederson, together with Mr. Ruediger Elste, Regional Director Asia of M+R Spedag Group conducted a contract signing ceremony on the 13th of July 2007.

During the ceremony, Pederson said Infor was particularly excited to be implementing the WM solution for M+R Spedag Group because of the already strong relationship between the companies

M+R Spedag is a current Infor customer utilizing Infor FMS SunSystems for financial management.
