Supply-Chain Council Launches Supply-Chain Council University

To meet this growing need for supply chain management training and certification, the Supply-Chain Council (SCC), owner of the widely used SCOR® Model, is initiating several worldwide programs targeted to better educate and certify supply chain professionals."As the SCC has matured, it has become clear it needs to be more active in helping supply chain professionals use supply chain models to drive business value. I am proud to announce the launch of the Supply-Chain Council University to provide additional value to our membership," said Thomas Phelps, Chairman of the Supply-Chain Council Board of Directors.
According to The Manufacturer, this program is multi-faceted and includes launch of Supply-Chain Council University. The council has deepened its supply chain educational offerings to include six new courses with a planned roll-out of a certification program. The University will administer and develop its training courses worldwide, and over the next 18 months the council plans to present more than 150 courses globally. Each will focus on driving business value through the use of Supply-Chain Council Reference Models. These include the use of the DCOR™ model for design, CCOR™ for improving customer interaction, and SCOR for supply chain modeling and business benefit.
