Supply chain video: Visibility and Deployment Options (3)

This is the third part of the a video discussion video on supply chain and visibility (See the first part and second part by clicking on the links). In this part, the discussion is about the role of dominant players in the supply chain standards and performance level and the supply chain standards in the logistics industry.



One key takeaway here is that standards are necessary for managing supply chains efficiently as the players in today's complex supply chain network have to talk to each others. Establishing standards help the level of visibility to increase and company's will have more control over their operations. Unfortunately this hasn't happened completely yet but as it is mentioned in the video, there are some developments for different parts of the supply chain (e.g. Air transport, etc.).
