Supply chain video

Despite the existing barriers of using RFID in the retail sector, some companies have been able to implement the tchnology in a profitable way. One of the success stories is a book retailer in Netherlands called Boekhandels Groep Nederland (BGN). The company has implemented RFID technology in item level and now does the inventory screening in two hours and only with 2 people.
The previous system based on barcode needed 25 people and they also had to close down the shop. You can see the video to see how they use a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) in parallel with their RFID initiative and how the level of customer service has increased in the stores.

What an interesting way to get people interested in reading! Book trailers are like movie trailers, but for books! You can find them all over the internet now, but here is a site that's featuring them on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/booktrailers
