Supply chain video: Supply chain optimization in the hospitals

Health Care system is one of the areas which has been growing tremendously in terms of supply chain opportunities. In this very cool video which I found today, Mary Kay talks to Charlotte Jenkins, a supply chain specialist who is working closely with nurse volunteers to reorganize and color-code supply closets at the UVA Health System.




As part of an initiative called SCOPE (Supply Chain Optimization and Process Excellence), the organization has been able to reduce costs at around $900-1500 per unit. I really recommend you watching this interesting interview.
