Here comes another video from PMMS Leadership in Procurement a Global Perspective in Troubled Times. This video is the fifth part of Professor Rob Handfield's presentation from the 2009 PMMS Biennial Executive Forum in Montreal Canada which related to manage supplier risk in the crisis time.

He mentions that one of the main elements which many companies neglect is supply market intelligence structures: Often times the valuable information is in people's minds and not in the websites therefore there is a need for building a network to extract valuable inoformation from different parts of the organization.




Some of the other best practice approaches he mentions are scenario planning based on robust cost models and then build some contingency plans based on them.
