Supply chain video: John Westerveld talks about supply chain risk strategy

John Westerveld is a product manager at Kinaxis. I came across this video from him where he talks about the fact that supply chain risk management has become increasingly more recognized as a critical part of corporate strategy. He argues that companies should move to leaner, global supply chains and be able to respond to events such as severe weather and financial instability quickly.



He mentions that the notion of supply chain risk management refers to a plan; but what is important is to think about the elements in this plan including proper measures and evaluation of different type of risk, probability to occur and mitigation efforts.
