Supply chain video: ERP in the U.S. Army

Filed in archive Supply chain video by ehsan on September 29, 2007

U.S. Army has prepared a really nice video about the implementation of ERP in their organization. The video serves as a good introduction to the history of ERP systems from MRP to MRP2 and then ERP and ERP2. It also highlights the importance of Business Process reengineering (BPR) and not falling into the trap of changing the system architecture to fit the old processes.

They even have plans to move the operation to the next level when they can send and receive data on cell phones. I hope you enjoy it.
