From a RFID Tribes press release:

From start-ups to acquisitions of established companies, investments in RFID are taking hold and fueling a host of new opportunities. RFID Tribe, a global association of industry professionals, today announced the first investment summit at RFID World 2007, the world's largest RFID conference and exhibition, taking place March 26 - 28, in Grapevine, Texas (near Dallas).

Held on Monday, March 26 as a day-long, pre-show event, the RFID Investment Summit probes the RFID technology market, its opportunities and challenges, intellectual property issues, analyst views, investor views and CEO perspectives. A line-up of top speakers will address:

Funding Opportunities - Who's been attracting investment and who's primed for new money?

Intellectual Property - Filling the technical gaps while avoiding the roadblocks.

Juggling the Balance of R&D and Consulting - What's the right mix of services and technology?

Technologies Delivering Innovation - Is it active, passive, NFC, Zigbee, sensors, mesh networks - or all of the above?

The Applications Promised Land -What verticals can you capitalize on now?

"The RFID Investment Summit is a terrific place for investors and firms seeking capital to meet and trade ideas," said Mark Johnson, president of RFID Tribe and chairman of the event. "Participants will come away with new insight into the investment landscape for RFID technology."

Organizers expect RFID World 2007 to exceed its previous record attendance of 3,500 and 200 exhibiting companies from more than 20 countries, including leading suppliers and sponsors ThingMagic, Siemens, Reva Systems, ADT/Tyco, Impinj, Intel, Reltronics Technologies Inc. and BEA Systems Inc.

"The conference line up of leading innovators and firms at work in RFID makes the show the place to be for the industry," said Bill Allen, group director of RFID at CMP Technology. "Attendees will have the opportunity to meet experts in multiple industry sectors who are using all types of RFID technologies."

RFID World features panel sessions, case studies, and experiential information to help individuals meet the challenges of deployment and solve pain points in their operations using the technology.
