Some emission reduction strategies
Filed in archive Point of view on April 7, 2009

If you remember, I had a post somewhile ago on a new report from World Economic Forum which was talking about supply chain de-carbonization (Link here). I went through that report again yesterday and found out some interesting proposed actions which companies can start with to reduce their emissions level. Some of the general but important ones include:
- Understanding and reducing the carbon impact of manufacturing through alternative sourcing.
- Better planning to allow slower and better optimized transport.
- Reducing packaging materials.
- Improving carbon labeling, standards and auditing tools.
- Increasing shared loading.
