SAP makes a record: 10,000 clients now use its last version ERP
Filed in archive Market Overview on July 15, 2008

I just read somewhere that SAP has reached the record of more than 10,000 clients using its late version ERP software. That's a great success and has already put SAP as the dominant leader in the market with more than 27.5 percent of market share.
Now that SAP is making a big footprint in the industry, it's probable that competitors such as Oracle would start price cut for software licences to at least stop the new clients to go for SAP. There is also a need for improvement on capability side as, according to Manufacturing Business Technology, now available SAP ERP 6.0 delivers 150 new business functions that include 400 new capabilities, 183 industry enhancements, 45 enterprise service bundles, and 556 individual enterprise services.
