RFID implementation tip: Don't go for quick fix
Joe Dunlap, a senior manager at Accenture, had an interview with Inbound Logistics last year on RFID implementation issues. One of the interesting things which he mentioned was about looking at RFID implementation as a quick fix. Here is his tip:

The point is, once you commit to implementing RFID, you should understand that you are in it for the long haul. An RFID overlay will not pay off. Don't try to fit the system into your business; rather, analyze and adjust your business processeslinks to optimize implementation results. To achieve positive return on investment (ROI), companies need to leverage RFID technology to re-engineer their business processes.
