Reorganizing supply chain at HP
Filed in archive Point of view on June 21, 2006
Kevin O'Marah of AMR Research has written a small piece about HP's new efforts to restructure its supply chain.
He explains how each major global operations function will be "hosted" in one of the company's three business units but will still serve the other two.
The motivation for this is that it gives HP's supply chain agility and it may be easier in future years to outsource certain operating functions as P&L discipline highlights where functions might be better provided by third parties.
You can read the piece here.
