Renault SA has announced the creation of a new department covering supply chain and logistics, with responsibilities including managing production and transport capacities, and organizing transport routes.

The company said the department is to be headed by Michel Faivre-Duboz, who will take up his position as senior vice president, supply chain and logistics, on Jan 2, 2008, reporting to Michel Gornet, executive vice president, manufacturing and logistics.
