Pillar Data Systems, a provider of enterprise storage systems, today announced UPS Supply Chain Solutions as its logistics provider to coordinate rapid response for high-value component parts distribution for increased flexibility to current and future customers.

Coupled with the company's current North American field services partnership with Anacomp, a provider of document and business process management (BPM) services, the relationships are expected to enable pillar to ensure maximized uptime for its customers through reliable and timely support, increase its global footprint and bolster the company's established network of partnerships with regional service providers.

According to SDCE, Pillar said its strategy to select high-quality regional service providers, such as UPS and Anacomp, reinforces its commitment to customer service responsiveness.

Additionally, the UPS Supply Chain Solutions central parts distribution operation offers end-of-runway access to UPS Worldport, an air package sorting hub, to speed air express delivery across the U.S. or international destinations. UPS will also provide systems integration with Pillar's IT infrastructure, enabling visibility to manage millions of dollars of inventory in real time.
