Over $800m savings through perishable products supply chain

Exago, well known australian provider of tracking solutions has recently announced that it has set up a monitoring and tracking pilot, customized for perishable products supply chain which has the ability to save up to 4% of the the whole supply chain cost.

Every year about $26 billion dollars of perishable products are transported through the australia and with this estimate, overal cost savings from this solution will exceed $800 million dollars.

The solution provides companies with, let's say exceptional capabilities like getting temperature and position data by GPRSlinks network, receiving SMS and email alerts for unexpected events and also A wireless solution using RFID will be added soon.
