OSRAM uses ToolsGroup's Service Optimizer to improve its inventory levels

OSRAM S.p.A. has announced that it will use ToolsGroup Service Optimizer 99+ solution to optimize the planning processes of raw materials and components managed at its production site in Treviso, Italy.

with sales of 4.7 billion euro in 2007, OSRAM is one of the largest lighting manufacturers in the world. Part of the Siemens AG Group, OSRAM has global presence with 41,000 employees in 150 countries, including 48 production and distribution sites in 17 countries. OSRAM operates in North America as OSRAM sylvanialinks.

According to Manufacturing Business Technology, the decision to implement ToolsGroup's was principally motivated by the need to review our optimization strategy for purchased components and ToolsGroup's experience has appealed OSRAM as a suitable candidate.
