New VP of operations, supply chain for Dreyer

Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream Holdings Inc. has hired Tony Sarsam, 44, as executive vice president of operations and supply chain, Reliable Plant reported.
Sarsam comes to Dreyer's from PepsiCo's Frito-Lay business. Sarsam joined Frito-Lay 20 years ago as a plant engineer, and progressed through a series of larger leadership roles in operations, plant management and sales, including regional vice president for sales and distribution in the West. Most recently, Sarsam, who has an MBA from Stanford, led the development of Frito-Lay's and PepsiCo's overall supply chain and customer-service efforts as vice president of Go-to-Market Strategy.
Sarsam will lead Dreyer's Operations group and its Supply Chain group. Dreyer's has seven manufacturing facilities across the United States, including two of the world's largest ice cream plants - in Bakersfield, Calif., and Laurel, Md.
