New supply chain conference in Africa

GS1 Kenya is hosting the first regional Supply Chain Conference and Exhibition on July 25-26, 2006 at the Norfolk Hotel, Nairobi.
About 250 key delegates are expected to attend the conference representing various commercial and Industrial institutions that are involved in logistics and supply chain management ranging from Manufacturing, to Retail and Transportation just to mention a few.
The theme of this year's conference is "Emerging trends in Logistics and Supply Chain Management for increased productivity".
The event will host local and international speakers from all sectors: academia, the private sector, and government.
According to Coast Week, All aspects of supply chain such as trading partner collaboration, procurement, Operation Planning, inventory management, Supply Chain Optimization, transportation Planning and Management, Demand Planning and Forecasting, and Warehouse Management will be addressed.
