New supply chain chief for Estée Lauder

The Estée Lauder Companies appointed Gregory Polcer as executive vice president - global supply chain, effective July 31, 2008. He will oversee the company's end-to-end supply chain, which includes areas such as procurement, manufacturing, quality assurance and logistic operations. He will report to Fabrizio Freda, president and COO.
According to Supply Side West, previously Polcer worked as senior vice president of supply chain at Unilever and has held positions at Playtex and j.c. penney. He succeeds Malcom Bond who will begin his transition into retirement in the near future.
