Filed in archive Special Events on August 22, 2007
Dubai, UAE will host a gathering in November 2007 on issues related to security of the containers. With under investment by ports, there is currently a debate that whether governments should enforce laws regarding the use of relevant technology or not. So Telematics Update, a U.K. based research organization, has brought a number of key players in the logistics area together to discuss the possibilities. Following are among the main areas of discussion:
- What technical standard will prevail and how is the business case best made for each type of solution?
- How are global regulations and initiatives evolving, and how will they influence your mid-term product, service and security response strategy?
- How do each of the supply chain members - from the shippers to the ports - deal with cargo security and how you can ensure the protocols interoperate?
