Supply chain video
by ehsan on June 26, 2009
This is a very cool! case which I came across recently: MyTireMonkey is basically another online business selling tire to the customers but what they do is facilitating the link between local dealers and tire distributors. The customers who need to change the tire go to the company's website and choose the dealers and tires, and MyTireMonkey asks the distributors with the best fit to ship the tires to the dealer mentioned by the customer. They basically have a role of supply chain coordination.
They have created something like "Private label" for small distributors as well because they mention the name of those companies in the documentation and info. for the client (these distributors normally don't have that much voice compared to tire giants).
Have you seen something similar in your area?
