MIT Invites Exostar to Present at Supply Chain Risk Management Conference
Filed in archive News on May 5, 2007
The MIT Forum for Supply Chain Innovation has invited Exostar, the leader in secure multi-enterprise collaboration solutions for the aerospace and defense (A&D) industry, to present at this year's conference on managing risk in the global supply chain.
Exostar's track record helping many of the world's largest aerospace and defense companies successfully manage risk in highly distributed, global manufacturing models, made Exostar a natural addition to the agenda. Its work with blue-chip companies, including BAE Systems, Boeing, Lockheed-Martin, Raytheon and Rolls-Royce, will fuel a dynamic discussion of customer case studies and industry trends that looks at strategies and tactics to manage the inevitable risks associated with outsourcing, Lean manufacturing and globalization.
According to Earth Times, in keeping with the MIT Forum's commitment to providing information-rich events, with a strong focus on highly actionable insight that bridges the gap between theory and real-world application, the Exostar team will deliver a case study on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, "Reducing the Supply Chain Risk in a Partner Based, Global Manufacturing Environment," that illustrates real supply chain innovation and best practices for risk mitigation.
