Mintera Adds to Management Team and Strengthens Supply Chain
Mintera ® Corporation, the technology leader enabling migration of optical transport to 40 Gigabits per second (Gbps) in metro-core, regional and ultra long-haul networks, today announced the appointment of Bryan Siegal as VicePresident, Operations and Customer Satisfaction and a new contract manufacturing relationship with Sanmina-SCI Corporation.

In his role, Mr. Siegal is responsible for managing the delivery and quality of Mintera's 40Gbps transport system. He will also be responsible for oversight of the company's relationship with Sanmina-SCI. Sanmina-SCI, a leading global electronics manufacturing services ( EMS ) company, will oversee the manufacture of Mintera's MI 40000XS products at its Allen , Texas location. Mintera's MI 40000XS is the Company's marketleading 40 Gbps DWDM transport subsystem.

"Bryan is an important addition to the Mintera team," said Mintera CEO Terry Unter. "His past experience in working with trusted suppliers will be instrumental as Mintera strengthens its supply chain to meet the growing demand of our customers."

Mr. Siegal brings more than 25 years of management experience in manufacturing, technical operations and new product introduction. He joins Mintera from Optovia Corporation, where he served as Vice President of operations. At Optovia, he was responsible for overseeing the commercialization and field deployment of the company's NEBS compliant, optical amplificationlinks systems. Prior to Optovia, Mr. Siegal was the Vice President of manufacturing at PhotonEx, a 40 Gbps long haul transport start-up company. During his tenure, PhotonEx deployed the first commercially available 40Gbps long haul backbone system. Earlier in his career, Mr. Siegal held senior management positions at Mack Technologies, Nexabit Networks, CSI Netlink, PictureTel Corp., Sun Microsystems Inc., ADAGE Inc., Honeywell and Raytheon, Inc.

Mr. Siegal holds an MS in Engineering Management from Northeastern University and a BS in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of Massachusetts.
