LogicTools, a leading developer of strategic supply chain planning solutions, announced today that its CEO, David Simchi-Levi, professor at MIT, will present case studies at the SAP Insider Logistics & Supply Chain Management conference February 27-March 1 in Las Vegas. One case study will focus on the impact of off-shoring on the global supply chain while the second will focus on new product introduction.

According to Professor Simchi-Levi, "Key inventory and manufacturing decisions are typically made on a local level but affect the supply chain globally, often leading to the inability to react quickly and execute necessary changes. The rapidly evolving global economy has increased both the complexity and scope of supply chain decisions and is driving the need for end-to-end optimization solutions to help companies build global supply chains that will allow them to adapt quickly to changing market conditions."

According to Business Wire, The same technology that helps LogicTools' clients optimize inventory and manufacturing decisions in their global supply chain is essential for new product introduction. Indeed, "LogicTools clients use our solutions to incorporate supply chain concerns at the product design phase. This product design process significantly reduces product life cycle costs while increasing value to their customers" says Simchi-Levi.
