Filed in archive News by ehsan on November 30, 2007

Under the agreement, Broadlane will provide Lodi Memorial Hospital with access to its "high-powered" national GPO portfolio for consumable supplies, capital equipment, pharmaceuticals and purchased services. Additionally, Lodi Memorial Hospital will utilize Broadlane's proprietary technology to help them manage their supply spend. Lodi Memorial Hospital's annual supply spend is approximately $18M.
During the extensive, competitive evaluation, Lodi Memorial Hospital determined that - while Broadlane's portfolio would help them drive savings - engaging Broadlane for their Medication Use Management (MUM) program was another area that would provide great long-term benefits to the hospital. Through a collaborative approach that will involve Lodi Memorial Hospital's pharmacists, medical staff, clinicians and hospital executives, Broadlane will provide resources to identify, implement, manage and sustain strategic pharmacy initiatives which will result in:
Expected Cost savings Include:
- Cost avoidance through appropriate utilization
- Reduced patient length of stay, resulting in lower cost-per-patient-day
- Increased patient safety, reducing liability risk
- More efficient use of resources
- Improved quality of care
- Improved teamwork through education and empowerment
