Kehe Food Distributors Implements RedPrairie Supply Chain Suite
Filed in archive News on August 6, 2007
RedPrairie Corporation announced last week that Kehe Food Distributors has purchased RedPrairie's E2e Supply Chain Suite, including Warehouse, Transportation and Labor Management Solutions. Kehe distributes specialty foods to over 9,000 grocery stores in 47 states. The RedPrairie solutions will replace its custom legacy systems, providing better overall inventory control, freight savings and labor management.
Kehe plans to implement the RedPrairie solutions at their main distribution center located in Illinois as well as their forward distribution centers (DCs). The supply chain suite will help Kehe maintain complete visibility to and control of its products throughout the entire supply chain. Kehe plans to gain improvements in lot and date control, truck loading, productivity and freight savings.
"Even though we have a high degree of automation in our distribution centers, we want improved product visibility and accountability in order to stay at the forefront in our industry. The RedPrairie solution will solidify Kehe's position in the industry as a technology and customer service leader," said Scott Cousins, CIO for Kehe Food Distributors.
John Jazwiec, RedPrairie President and CEO says, "By purchasing the entire supply chain suite, Kehe will optimize the functions in each of their supply chain areas, and will synchronize the flow of products and information between them. RedPrairie has helped other leading food distributors get better at mitigating risk and improving efficiency and throughput without sacrificing quality."
