JetBlue announces new leadership structure for its supply chain

The New York-based airlines named Tom Anderson, who is currently the Senior VP of Technical Operations, Aircraft Programs and LiveTV, as its Senior VP of Supply Chain and LiveTV. In his new role, Anderson and his team would be responsible for major purchasing programs and supply chain, the company noted.

Nelson who has been appointed Senior VP and Controller would hold the responsibility of compiling and reporting JetBlue's financial performance, in addition to identifying areas where the company can keep costs low in order to maintain the airline's competitive advantage. JetBlue Airways named Todd Thompson as Senior VP, Chief Information Officer, who will be responsible for companywide information technology projects and operations, covering all systems, networks, servers, datacenters, desktops, and devices.
Tim Hickey who has been appointed VP, IT Operations, would be responsible for effective planning and operation of networks, servers, datacenters, desktops, and devices, the company said.
JetBlue Airways stated that the new leadership structure will help to keep its low-cost advantage while investing in the right assets to help scale JetBlue's culture and service as the airline grows.
JBLU is currently up $0.02 trading at $10.29 on a volume of 1.31 million shares.
