Jesta I.S. Updates Vision Supply Chain Management Application
Filed in archive Products on September 6, 2007
Apparel supply chain solution provider Jesta I.S. has released the latest version of its flagship Vision supply chain management application, adding enhancements to the design as well as improved functionality from the user perspective and a common look and feel with Jesta's other Vision applications.
Jesta said that Vision SCM 5.0 leverages new technologies that were previously unavailable to on-demand and software-as-a-service vendors and that will enrich the user experience by making it easier and quicker for users to enter and search for data.
The new version seeks to reduce the load time required by Web pages through the use of remote procedure calls (RPCs). The consistency of the new screen layouts and the enhanced relationship between the various SCM components are aimed at enabling the user to navigate through the application with greater ease, the solution provider said.
Vision SCM is a Web-based supply chain management tool designed to provide both self-sourcing retailers and wholesalers with the ability to track and manage the various steps of the supply chain. The solution includes various modules for tracking business processes such as workflow management, pre-production, production, bidding, logistics, quality assurance and social compliance. It also offers a portal for order requests and monitoring.
Arvind Gupta, vice president of development at Jesta, said that the company wanted to provide its customers with a client/server experience over the Web. "Version 5.0 has an even quicker response time and is processing more data, faster than ever," Gupta said.
Companies using Jesta's solutions include Perry Ellis, Town Shoes Limited, Cole Haan, Haggar Clothing Co. and Maidenform.
