ISCC's summit Revealed Critical Aspects of India's Supply Chain & Logistics
The India Supply Chain Council (ISCC), India's leading professional organization for the supply chain profession, held its inaugural event with the India Supply Chain Summit at the Oberoi, New Delhi, on March 1st. The vision of the summit was to initiate the dialogue among Indian companies, encourage active engagement with various supply chain vendors and provide opportunities for networking among executive-level peers and promote cross-cultural learning.

According to Newswire Today, Some of the most prestigious representatives attended, including supply chain, procurement and logistics executives from companies like Accenture, APC Rollex Logistics, APCC, Aramex, Argus Global Logistics, Caterpillar Logistics, Chainalytics, Corbus, Effem, Electroluxlinks, Goodyear, Group Logistics & Warehousing, HCL India, Honeywell, i2, Metro Cash & Carry, Metso Minerals, Naad Electronics, Philips India, Red Prairie, Reliance Logistics, Robinsons Global Logistics, SAS, TECUMSEH, Total Logistics, Tyco and Wipro.

"Our aim is to create a knowledge 'supply chain' and community for India so that any manufacturers and retailers can access world class information and expertise with a minimum of bureaucracy" commented Abhijit Shivekar, Director of Operations for the India Supply Chain Council. "We hope to motivate senior business decision makers to instigate a culture change which will allow them to identify real opportunities to strengthen their competitiveness in the Indian market through supply chain management."

Dutta, Economic and Foreign Expert; Rajiv Sathe, Trainer & Consultant; R Gopal from Caterpillar Logistics; Sanjay Dawar from Accenture; Amit Kumar from Electrolux; Seshadri Lakshminarayanan from i2; Devangshu Dutta from Third Eyesite; V R Fadnavis from Total Logistics; SS Sondh from Goodyear; Rakesh Mittal from Corbus; Abraham Joseph from Chainalytics; Srinivas Sai N from Wipro and Mark Skipper from RedPrairie.

The next event organized by the India Supply Chain Council will be on "Retail Supply Chain" on May 9 in New Delhi.
