Huron Consulting Group attracts new managing director

Acoording to Business Wire, Huron Consulting Group , leading provider of financial and operational consulting services, today announced that Jeffrey D. McLaren has joined the Company's Strategic Sourcing practice as a managing director specializing in healthcare supply chain management.
"The healthcare industry in the U.S. continues to face major challenges, especially hospitals and healthcare systems," said Gary E. Holdren, chairman and chief executive officer, Huron Consulting Group. "The addition of Jeff to our Sourcing practice complements Huron's full service healthcare solution, which provides financial, operational, quality, regulatory, and research consulting services to both providers and payors."

At Huron, McLaren will assist healthcare clients with strategic sourcing, procurement, and supply chain cost reduction matters. With more than 15 years in healthcare, he has directed supply chain improvement, post-merger integration, turnaround, and service line strategy engagements for large, multi-site hospital systems as well as several major academic medical centers across the country. McLaren joined Huron from CSC Global Health Solutions Consulting where he was a partner and Supply Chain practice manager.
McLaren received his M.B.A. from Harvard University and his B.A. in Economics and French Language from DePauw University. He is based in Huron's New York office.
