Huge savings by ERP: That's a dream my friend

Please read the following piece from Manufacturing Computer Solutions and judge for yourself. I don't think that's reality, what do you think?
Communications specialist Telesoft Technologies reckons it's shaved 44% off supply chain costs since successfully deploying SAP ERP across its five UK and US sites, with the help of Chelford SAP.
The installation has also enabled the company to reduce stock levels by 50% and standing debt by 25% through the integration and control of supply chain planning.
Chelford SAP worked with Telesoft to establish high level reporting processes that give the company greater control over manufacturing, sales and distribution functions across all areas of its business.
Centralising these has not only improved Telesoft's efficiency, but also helped ensure it remains agile in its marketplace.
"As an SME, we are not the typical type of business to gain significant benefits from an SAP deployment, but we have, and continue to do so," says Phil Lewis, finance and business director at Telesoft.
"That is largely due to Chelford SAP helping ensure that the solution is tuned to our specific needs. In any SAP deployment, it is essential to be very targeted with what you want to achieve. The benefits of doing that are a unique combination of flexibility - which is essential in smaller businesses - with the visibility and functionality to have complete control over the business.
"We have been able to steer around dips in the market, because we have had the foresight to notice problems on the horizon, and then the tools to deal with challenges, and that is why we're still going strong today," Phil Lewis concluded.
