HP becomes a service provider in software supply chain
Filed in archive News on May 14, 2006
Technology company Compuware Corporation has selected HP to be its global service provider for software product fulfillment and supply chain management, HP has announced.
According to Supply and Demand Chain Executive, the five-year agreement expands a longstanding relationship between the companies. Through this latest agreement, HP said it would help Compuware strengthen its ability to rapidly deliver software and documentation to customers around the world.
HP becomes the single point of accountability for management of Compuware's product fulfillment supply chain for its physical and electronic software. This includes business processes, global infrastructure and delivery centers in the United States and eventually in Europe and Asia.
It seems that HP intends to make its portfolio of activities a balanced one regarding product and service offering so that it can become less vulnerable to fluctuations in product market. What do you think? Do you agree?
