Supply Chain Consultants, designer and supplier of the Zemeter suite of supply chain management (SCM) software products and services, announced today that Hexion Specialty Chemicals, Inc. , the world's largest producer of thermoset resins, has signed a global licensing agreement to standardize the company's supply chain decision support on Zemeter. The agreement will expand Hexion's use of Zemeter for demand planning and inventory control across the company's supply chain.

Hexion began working with Supply Chain Consultants (SCC) in 2001 when the company was Borden Chemical. In 2005, Borden Chemical merged with Resolution Performance Products LLC (RPP) and Resolution Specialty Materials LLC (RSM) (together with Bakelite AG, which Borden Chemical acquired) to form Hexion Specialty Chemicals, Inc. Zemeter Demand Planner is already being used extensively at the facilities that support the former Borden Chemical customers, and SCC has created additional databases within Zemeter to support the expanded operations of Hexion.
