Health supply chains in Africa to be discussed in CSCMP 2009 conference

"How supply chains are helping to improve health and living conditions in sub-Saharan Africa?" That's one of the main topics which is going to be discussed this year at the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals' (CSCMP) 2009 Global Conference. The conference will be held September 20-23 in Chicago, Illinois.
This session which will be presented by Dr. Prashant Yadav, Professor of Supply Chain Management at MIT-Zaragoza International Logistics Program in Spain covers the new supply chain insights in this area. At the center of the international issue of improving delivery of drugs, vaccines, and other remedies to needy populations is the role of the supply chain. The session, entitled Improving Health in the World and Saving Lives with More Effective Supply Chains, will reveal how supply chains have positively impacted health outcomes in sub-Saharan Africa. Opportunities for attendees to contribute their knowledge and expertise to saving lives and improving health around the world will also be discussed.
