GlobalWare improves its Supply Chain Visibility Solution

GlobalWare Solutions has released the latest version of its online supply chain tracking and reporting tool, designed to provide clients with visibility and access to dynamic worldwide supply chain management information.

Based on the news release from SDCE, GlobalView 2.0 provides the ability to more effectively track inventory and shipment history and offers expanded customization options, according to GlobalWare. In addition, the combination of monitoring, management and data warehouse functions opens a window into the current and historic status of business material flow, the software company said.

"GlobalView links information from all GlobalWare facilities in the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific," says Doug Brittin, vice president of global sales and marketing. "This enables our clients to focus on proactive management and planning rather than chasing data."

Version 2.0 of GlobalView is a customizable tool that offers clients visibility to the supply chain and provides reporting capabilities utilizing data warehouse, serial number, order and delivery tracking mechanisms in conjunction with customized messaging, alerts and customer specific reporting, the solution provider said.

"GlobalView 2.0 provides a more detailed look into the supply chain," says Ernest Ostro, director of IT with GlobalWare. "Version 2.0 combines more powerful customization options with more complete and near real-time information."

Ostro said that version 2.1, due in late August, will provide additional features and functionality such as return material authorization (RMA) tracking and control, intended to further extend the ability to chart, track and improve forecasting processes and reduce operating costs.
