FedEx Freight provides five supply chain scholarships for University of Arkansas
Filed in archive Education on August 7, 2008

According to a press release by University of Arkansas, FedEx Freight has provided five scholarships to students in the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas through the Supply Chain Management Research Center.
Two of the scholarships were awarded to students whose ethnic, cultural or national background contributes to the diversity of the transportation and logistics program. The other scholarships were awarded based on the results of a term-paper logistics competition. This scholarship, designated to encourage students to research areas impacting the transportation industry and less-than-truckload carriers, was awarded to three students.
I think such activities provide a good incentive for young and intelligent students to go more into the area of supply chain and also makes the industry-academia links stronger. What do you think?

I agree, there are nothing but good things that can come out of this. Wish that they had done this scholarship program earlier and at my school though!
