Elmer's Selects Kewill´s Order Fulfillment Solution

Iconic glue producer Elmer's Products has tapped a solution from Kewill as part of an initiative to streamline its order to fulfillment process and to fully automate the company's four distribution facilities.

Headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, with facilities in Statesville, Ann Arbor, Seattle and Canada, Elmer's has been producing its well-known line of consumer adhesives for more than 60 years. The company is set to use Kewill Flagship, an enterprise-class, multi-carrier shipping management system, to extend the organization's distribution capability.

Using Kewill's application programming interfaces (APIs) will allow Elmer's to drive all shipping transactions through its SAP system, allowing complete post-shipping visibility and the power to calculate net shipping costs (including discounts) accurately, the solution provider said.

Elmer's will be rolling out Kewill's enterprise shipping solution on the SAP platform to all four locations to have a unified and centralized system for both domestic and international transactions.



"Kewill allows us to do 'desktop shipping' that will help provide us with a consolidated view of freight costs, to include manual non-orders (marketing and promotional material shipments)," said Scott Smith, director of ERP solutions for Elmer's Products. "Having Kewill integrate to our SAP system is another key factor as our shipping operators will be able to continue to work in an interface they are already familiar with making the order-to-fulfillment process much more efficient."
