Dow Corning goes for supply chain optimization

Cognizant Technology Solutions a provider of IT services today announced that it has expanded its strategic customer partnership with Dow Corning Corporation. Cognizant will implement a large-scale my SAP CRM 5.0 system, which will be tightly integrated with SAP's next generation NetWeaver platform, CIOL reported.
"We are pleased that Dow Corning has selected Cognizant for the global roll-out of their supply chain optimization initiative," said Lakshmi Narayanan, president and CEO, Cognizant.
"Cognizant's demonstrated ability to understand our business and deliver solutions that fundamentally address our key business needs were central factors in selecting them as our IT services partner for this strategic initiative," said Abbe Mulders, CIO, Dow Corning Corporation. "We believe that Cognizant's team of industry specialists, functional consultants and technology experts, coupled with their expertise in large-scale implementations across many geographies and various modules of SAP, will play a key role in the success of this major corporate initiative," added Mulders.
