Dollar General picks New Manager for leading supply chain

Dollar General Corporation has named Mervyn's exec beryl Buley its division president of merchandising and supply chain, effective Dec. 1.
In this role, Buley will oversee Dollar General's merchandising strategies, assuming the responsibilities of Stonie O'Briant, who plans to retire from the company at the end of October 2006. Buley will also head the company's supply chain function and will report to CEO David Perdue. In the interim, O'Briant will assist in the transition and will assume responsibility for strategic initiatives.
