Cummins India to implement Oracle solution
Filed in archive Partnerships on January 4, 2007
Cummins India Limited has selected Oracle applications to standardize its business process across five group companies, three manufacturing units and 26 distribution locations, India Times reported.
The implementation, expected to be complete by July 2007 would help cummins India establish a fully integrated supply and delivery chain, a company release said but did not give the size of the order.
Cummins India plans to use Oracle's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications, Oracle Supply Chain Planning, Oracle iSupplier Portal, Oracle Purchasing and Oracle Order Management to create integrated and standardized business processes, with a view to attain greater transparency and better control with lower total cost of ownership.
"An integrated supply chain not only streamlines operations, it also reduces waste. Cummins India can use the integrated supply chain to manage the sourcing of raw material better," Oracle India, senior director - Applications Sales, Subhomoy Sengupta, said
