ClearOrbit Awarded Technology Supply Chain Management Excellence Award by the Supply-Chain Council
Filed in archive Best practice on March 26, 2007
ClearOrbit, provider of real-time supply chain execution and Reverse logistics solutions, announced last wednesday that the company has earned the Supply-Chain Council's (SCC) prestigious Technology Supply Chain Management Excellence Award for demonstrated leadership and innovation in supply chain execution and collaboration. SCC's Technology Supply Chain Management Excellence Award is based on the organization's SCORĀ® Model metrics, a diagnostic tool that enables users to address, improve, and communicate supply chain management practices within and between interested parties from the customer's customer to the supplier's supplier, with the goal of improving overall supply chain efficiencies.
Selection criteria for this prestigious honor were based on ClearOrbit's successful venture with World Wide Technology, Inc., a leading systems integrator and supply chain solutions/logistics provider, in automating vendor relationships by connecting more than 1,200 suppliers for automated materials replenishment for a major automotive original equipment manufacturer. Performance metrics included supplier adoption of the system and increased efficiencies in the order fulfillment/replenishment processes. A recently released report by the Stanford University Graduate School of Business details the collaboration case study; a summary version is available for download at www.clearorbit.com/whitepapers.
