One of the new book which has been published in the area of supply chain management is "Supply Chain Management Best Practices" written by David Blanchard, the editor of Industry Week. The book has been published by John Wiley and you can buy it through Amazon by clicking here.

The book has been divided into three main sections:

- Introduction to supply chain management
- Traditional core processes of supply chain management
- Supply chain strategies

The book has been written in an easy language and provides extra resources for people who are interested to read more about different parts. Dave Blanchard also provides lots of case studies from Hyundai and its initiatives to increase the visibility in its supply chain from Asia to U.S. to HP and its risk management program over its procurement processes.

The book lacks, on the other hand, a universal model of doing the things the best way and if a company doesn't follow Dave's recommendations, it won't necessarily fail (My view). Anyway, I strongly recommend this book to all supply chain experts.
