Penske Logistics announced yesterday that it has secured multi-year logistics contracts with BMW Manufacturing Co. and BMW of North America. Financial terms of the agreements were not disclosed.

According to PR NewsWire, under the agreements, Penske Logistics will manage inbound supply chain services for production parts from Mexico and select U.S. suppliers into BMW's Spartanburg County, S.C., facility that produces popular models like the X5 Sports Activity Vehicle, Z4 Roadster, M Roadster, Z4 Coupe and M Coupe.

Penske will also provide aftermarket parts transportation services from Mexico and select U.S. suppliers into a Spartanburg County crossdock and two California-based distribution centers.

"We are very pleased to be working with BMW and look forward toward working with their team to help drive flexibility in their North American supply chain," stated Vince Hartnett, President - Penske Logistics. "Penske and BMW enjoy a strong cultural alignment that is based around high standards for customer service and process excellence through Six sigma."
