Axcess introduces a new series of semi-active RFID tags
Axcess International's new Dual Activator product (based on its ActiveTag platform) provides an accurate method for determining the location of people, vehicles and assets.

According to Using RFID, this Dual Activator connects directly to two transmit antennae to offer a radio frequency signal that awakens the tags as they pass through each antenna field. It writes its own ID to the tag, which is then retransmitted, along with the tag's unique ID, to provide the tag's location and direction at time of activation. Axcess' patented ActiveTag RFID systems use small, battery-powered tags (semi-active tags) that transmit a wireless message typically 30 to 100 feet to hidden palm-size receivers. The receivers are connected via a standard network to the enterprise system, existing security alarm equipment, and standalone management software. Optionally, the tag system can be used to trigger security video recording and live remote video transmission.
