Aviall makes a new deal with GE

Aviall, aftermarket supply-chain management service provider for the aviation and marine industries, has made a new deal with GE.
The company has agreed to supply aftermarket parts for the CF6 engine program. The CF6 family of engines are used by Boeing and Airbus on various plane models.
Under the agreement, Dallas-based Aviall will add another 35 parts under management for Fairfield, Conn.-based GE. GE also will use Aviall's inventory forecasting and management, product fulfillment and quality management services to make sure customers have the products they need. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
